Self-Care is Key!

I believe the most important thing you can do to start living on purpose and ultimately achieve your goals and dreams is to practice good self-care. You can’t draw water from an empty well. Make sure you are taking time for yourself. You might think you don’t have time for this, but I promise you do! When you feel better you will think more clearly and get more done. Schedule time in your day and stick to it as if you made a commitment to someone else.

Self-care looks different for everyone so do what works for you! Begin by asking yourself what you need. Here are some ideas:

  • Get enough sleep
  • Exercise
  • Eat good foods
  • Get out in nature
  • Start a journaling practice
  • Meditate/Pray
  • Drink more water
  • Start a gratitude practice
  • Read something uplifting
  • Listen to music
  • Serve someone else
  • Talk with a friend
  • Find a hobby/create something
  • Hang around happy people
  • Take a social media break
  • Learn how to say no
  • Slow down and just breathe
