I have been staring at my laptop while working in my election precinct today, trying to decide what to write about in this email that goes out tomorrow. A decent list of potential topics is stored in my Google docs but none of them jumped out at me today.
Instead I decided to think of a way to relate voting to life!
So here goes nothing… it might be a stretch. 😂
They are both about having the power of choice.
When we vote we have the power to choose who we want in a specific office and in life we have the power to choose what occupies the space in our minds.
And if the person we vote for doesn’t win, we have the power to choose how we think and react and what to do next. When circumstances in our life don’t go the way we want, we also have the power to choose the way we think about and react to them and decide what to do next.
